Who is the NorCal haunters group?

Our group of halloween enthusiasts share ideas and have hands-on workshops to build props, animatronics, and other Halloween haunt related items.

Each month, normally on the second Saturday of the month, a member will volunteer to teach a “Make-n-Take”. These tutorials can range from painting techniques to robotics. Everyone leaves the meeting with a working prop or technique and the knowledge of how to do it again!

We also occasionally get to go on group tours of interesting haunted or haunt-related facilities and do other activities to promote our favorite holiday.

When the Bay Area Maker Faire happened in San Mateo we were annual participants. We created a “haunted house” for people to walk through and included information and displays on how all the other gizmos and gadgets on display at the Faire can be used for something fun and entertaining.
